The first edition, launched in April 2012, features a portrait of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the UAE, and Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower.

The coin stand as a national emblem which reflect the determination and achievements of the UAE federation.

These coins are minted by the Dubai refinery, Emirates Gold DMCC, which is an accredited member of DMCC’s Dubai Good Delivery (DGD) standard. The DGD standard, launched in 2005, is an international benchmark of quality and technical specifications in the production of gold and silver.

These coins have a fineness of 99.99% (24 carat)
